Job Description

POSITION:Food Technologist/Product Development Scientist

REPORTS TO:Manager Research And Development

FUNCTION:Support all aspects of product development for primarily flavored application from concept stage through commercial systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with sales and marketing to develop product concepts.

• Generate cost quotations including theoretical product formulas and labels.

• Perform ingredient research and associated cost analysis.

• Construct bench prototypes based on approved product concepts.

• Conduct stability and other necessary studies

• Work with quality systems to address problems.

• Conduct scale up trials related to commercial process.

• Maintain proper record keeping with regards to all responsibilities.

• Maintain neatness and orderliness of lab.

• Computer literate in Word and Excell.

MAJOR WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

•  Works with sales and marketing as necessary to fulfill responsibilities.

• Works with quality assurance to meet company quality standards.

• Works with regulatory to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requires a BS in Food Science and experience in food or beverage product development.

You must have a Green Card or be a Permanent Resident of the USA to be considered.
