A leading food manufacturer with facilities in northern New Jersey has an outstanding opportunity for an Oracle EBS Functional Specialist.
Specific Responsibilities
o Upgrade Oracle 11i to Oracle R12 and support all functional modules.
o Perform functional customization as and when required by different organizations within the company.
o Configure Oracle Applications functional setups. Coordinate and verify system testing for system upgrades, enhancements, and the implementation of new modules such as ASCP/DEMANDRA.
o Provide day-to-day functional support of Oracle modules and related customizations. Acts as Functional Systems Administrator for Oracle Applications and Discoverer.
o Work closely with the EDI Analyst in troubleshooting problems within the Oracle application modules. Research issues using My Oracle Support and other resources. Work with Oracle Support by logging SR’s and using the escalation process if necessary. Test patches to resolve problems.
o Develop and update documentation including: business process flows, translating business requirements into documents, functional and technical design documents, test cases and user training materials.
o Lead application functionality testing, patch testing and provide recommendations for functional enhancements.
o Recommend, configure and implement appropriate Oracle modules.
o Will be a part of IT team and work closely with production, purchasing, logistics, engineering, customer service, sales, accounting and finance personnel as required in a functional role.
o Prepare training documents and train internal users.
Knowledge/Skills Required
o Extensive knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite and all functionality.
o Ability to understand complex topics related to Oracle Financials, including multi-org transactions, TCA, SLA and to provide recommendations for process improvement.
o Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
o Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff and employees.
o Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong organizational skills.
o Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a high energy, proactive style.

Experience/Education Required
o A solid Information Technology and Manufacturing background with ten plus years of comprehensive, hands-on working experience in Oracle EBS 11i modules such as Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM), Order Management, e-Commerce Gateway, Manufacturing, Distribution, Trade Management, Advanced Pricing and Financials.
o Experience upgrading Oracle 11i EBS modules to R12.
o A strong background in implementation and Oracle AIM (application implementation methodologies).
o Experience implementing Oracle ASCP/DEMANDRA (R12) is preferred.
o Thorough knowledge of MS office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Visio.
o A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
