Job Description

Education / Job Skills: Five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position. Beef or pork processing experienced required. Must be capable of troubleshooting PLC systems. PLC programming not required. Must have working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and boilers. Maintenance and repair experience with saw, motors, wizards, conveyors, combo box formers, multi-vac and cryo-vac equipment. Bilingual preferred, but not required. Ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability analyze and improve performance of the maintenance team. Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance employees to assure proper maintenance and mechanic repair of machinery and equipment within the allotted budget and consistent with policies, procedures and FSIS regulations. • Develop a competent workforce through training, communicating expectations, providing frequent feedback, and, when necessary, taking disciplinary action in accordance with Company policy. • Monitor and enforce security and safety rules; follow up on equipment installed and its current operations; provide frequent feedback concerning the status of areas of responsibility. • Maintain records of equipment and employee time records.
