Job Description
We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our bakery who will report to the Production Manager. This person will be responsible for managing and following up on product and processes to ensure compliance to operating standards. This person will also direct the work force on the proper procedures while maintaining GMP and corporate standards.
PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise, schedule, coach, train, lead and motivate a shift of production workers to meet planned objectives
Builds people capability by effectively monitoring and providing performance feedback to direct reports
Complies with all labor-management contracts in order to provide for positive employee relations
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations/programs, including holding and/or assisting with required safety meetings
Ensure all equipment is maintained and is operated accordingly to established sanitary and housekeeping standards
Cooperate with engineering and sanitation departments in the required maintenance of equipment and facilities
Assist in maintaining the standard formulas and production operating procedures
Ensure that quality product is consistently provided to sales and coordinate with the transportation department to ensure â??on timeâ?쳌 delivery of products
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of food industry experience
Must have excellent oral/written communications skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelorâ??s degree strongly preferred
Prior supervision experience a huge plus
Baking experience is ideal
Experience in commercial high-speed backing/production equipment strongly desired
Knowledge of BRC is highly preferred
Sanitation and Hygiene course through American Institute of Baking
Science of Baking course through American Institute of Baking
AIB Baking Course
AIB Maintenance Course
AIB Sanitation Course
