Job Description

Newly developed opportunity integral to a new innovation! Position may hire in at either a Supervisory level or Manager level based on knowledge & experience of incumbent.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant plant production experience with processed/refinished cheese.
  • Experience with SAP or similar integrated manufacturing system.
  • Strong leadership skills - demonstrated ability to lead with positivity, including demonstrated experience in developing team members or subordinates.
  • Knowledge of production practices in a food manufacturing environment, preferably Refinished or Processed Cheese and/or dairy industry.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills by formulating goals and developing plans to accomplish them.
  • Strong communicate skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal or people-oriented presence, including the ability to manage project teams.
  • Knowledge and ability to manage continuous improvement processes such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Understanding of financial accountabilities.

Duties:

 

  • Monitoring the production processes and determining necessary changes.
  • Assisting in the planning of manpower based on the daily production schedule and determining inventory levels.
  • Assisting in the training and development of the Processing staff.
  • Promoting employee involvement and ensuring that safety and quality standards are followed at all times.
  • Assisting Human Resources Manager with job training and advice on SOP development.
  • Meeting sanitation standards and guidelines.

Location: MI

Salary: $65K to $90K + 5% Bonus
