• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or Food Science
• Stable & Progressive work history with-in Food & Beverage Manufacturing
• Background dealing with different Lean Manufacturing tools
• 2-5 years of quality assurance with 1-2 years in a management position
• Ensure raw materials, packaging and products meet specifications of the Company and state and federal regulations.
• Ensure correct labeling of all finished products according to FDA specifications
• Manage and monitor laboratory personnel, product formulations and all levels of production sanitation and quality.
• Develop, maintain and audit budget.
• Oversee and audit and bacteriological testing program, shelf life testing and sanitation process.
• Manage customer complaint process including but not limited to consumer complaint call summaries, analysis, evaluation, findings and resolution and product / procedure improvement.
• Develop new programs on quality control and oversee and directs the development of technical manuals for laboratory and plant personnel.
• Train new quality control personnel and oversee and direct the in-plant training of all quality control related matters.
  Provide technical assistance in the area of quality control to plant management and staff.
• Direct and oversee compliance with GMP's, sanitation, food safety, good hygiene practices, FDA requirements and pest control.
• Participate in regular internal quality assurance audits of the plant.
• In depth understanding of microbiology, chemistry, entomology, and quality and sanitary design.
