Job Description

Responsible for day-to-day facility and equipment sanitation activities (including CIP), as well as the setup/preparation of production lines to run. This position ensures assigned teams satisfy all Sanitary and Food Safety requirements and coordinates all required transitions between the shut down, sanitation, and start up of production lines. Other responsibilities may include the following: Maintain and update Master Sanitation Schedule, SOPs, and Standard Work to reflect changes in equipment design, new equipment, or changes in cleaning procedures. Ensure that relevant training regarding sanitation procedures, chemicals, and pest management are performed as needed. Ensure that sanitation activities are performed and documented consistently and ensure that food safety requirements are upheld. Ensure that setup activities in support of production start up are performed and completed consistently in accordance with established SOPs and Standard Work. Establish regular communication practices and processes with production to allow for effective transition between functions. Support quality, sanitation, and production standards to avoid product loss, rejected product, and down time. Conduct plant sanitation inspections; follow up on completion of items found during inspections. Ensure compliance with all HACCP, PMO, and SQF requirements. Maintain Sanitary (PM) preventative maintenance records; by thoroughly monitoring equipment conditions through routine physical and program oversight. Coaches and develops employees on a regular basis to safely and effectively perform assigned tasks and responsibilities in accordance with established SOPs/Standard Work and document as required. Preferred candidates should possess a Bachelor¿s degree and preference will be given to those having a supervisory experience, as well as, sanitation background in the food products industry.
