Requirements:BS in Food Science or related plus a minimum of 5 years experience  in thermal processing.   Specific requirements include:

• Better Process Control School
• Specific training in thermal process establishment
• Knowledge of HACCP and risk assessment principles
• Basic knowledge of:
  • Mathematics & statistical principles
  • Thermal process calculations and software
  • Beverage processing
  • Aseptic, retort, hot-fill-hold, etc.
  • Hygienic process design principles
  • Food safety and hazard analysis

Responsibilities:   Under the direction of the Thermal Process Expert, ensure the implementation of the thermal process program.  Specific duties include:

• Thermal process team member for RTD  projects.
• Support the hygienic design of equipment and processes.
• Ensure all food safety documentation is in-place for PTC-MA projects / PP.
  Support Aseptic Network and Thermal Process Community as necessary.
• Support the writing & submission of process filings for low acid canned foods and acidified canned foods.
• Train, coach and advise internal & external customers on thermal process related issues.
