ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for providing leadership and direction to production supervisors employees.
? Manages approximately 300 employees.
? Hires, fires, and lays off employees as necessary.
? Conducts performance evaluations on supervisors and assists with evaluations of production employees; takes disciplinary actions according to Company policies and procedures as necessary.
? Conducts training of production employees and supervisors.
? Conducts meetings with supervisors.
? Participates in all staff meetings.
2. Assumes responsibility for planning and organizing the operation of the Production Department.
3. Assumes responsibility for production and efficiencies of production.
? Performs product quality control through observation and inspection of reports.
? Product development.
4. Assumes responsibility for effectively working with merchandisers
5. Assumes responsibility for attending all CDC Product and Quality meetings.
6. Assumes responsibility for maintaining labor controls and low product cripple and loss rate to meet company standards.
7. Assumes responsibility for producing products for Sales Department sample requests.
8. Ensures employees adhere to all safety policies and procedures and assists with keeping the work environment safe including acting as a member of the Safety Committee.
9. Assumes responsibility ensuring employees adhere to certain sanitation procedures and adheres to all sanitation policies and procedures to ensure environment meets Company standards of cleanliness.
10. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional and respectful working relations with employees, management, and vendors.
11. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with employees and management.
? Keeps employees appropriately informed of any significant issues.
? Keeps supervisor appropriately informed of any significant issues.
? Uses good judgment when making decisions.
12. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
? Performs miscellaneous duties when necessary and assigned by management.
? Works with vendors as necessary.
? Provides assistance to sales force.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of bakery operations.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Internet.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Related bakery/production experience required.
Management experience required.
