Job Description

Sugar Creek is a major food manufacturing company located in Cincinnati, Dayton and Washington Court House, OH areas.

Plant Sanitarian

The following are recommended primary duties and roles that a plant based sanitarian must be able to effectively execute:

  1. Monitor shift safety compliance:
  2. Work with 3rdparty contract cleaning company:
  3. Work with vendors to drive process improvements, and ensure Sugar Creek quality expectations are being consistently met, and improved upon
  4. Process trouble shooter:
  5. Sanitary design leadership:
    1. Work with all needed plant / corporate personnel (engineering, maintenance, and leadership) and equipment suppliers to perform sanitary design assessments for new equipment, or when equipment modifications are needed.
    2.  Work with all needed plant /corporate personnel (engineering, maintenance, and leadership) and suppliers to perform sanitary design assessments for changes to plant infrastructure.
  6. Other needs:
    1. Help validate new processes, or products for cleaning effectiveness
    2. Provide quality / sanitation leadership to the plant
    3.  Instruct employees /leadership / vendors as needed on sanitation program elements, sanitary design, and other related food safety programs.
    4. Assist with the plant’s pest control program
    5. Have the ability to maintain / develop cleaning procedures
    6. Maintain all the required program /sanitary design documentation
    7. Assist with customer plant audits as needed
    8. ATP /Micro /pathogen testing procedures
    9. Training needs for the position:  Safety and Sanitation principles:

 

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 5 to 7 years equivalent experience
