Job Description

 

As Shift Supervisor over 2nd shift, you will ,manage, direct, and implement Operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the company’s goals.  Focus will be on creating and maintaining the most efficient and cost effective operation while achieving, maintaining, and exceeding quality, safety, and productivity objectives.

 

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish departmental objectives pertaining to quality, safety, productivity, and cost.  Continuously evaluate, monitor, and challenge the performance standards for the department.

  • Provide all reporting Supervisors and Crew Leaders the support and resources necessary to accomplish department and company goals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes, product and systems technology to continually improve process outcomes.
  • Establish, prepare, implement, revise, and maintain policies and procedures related to operations.
  • Provide a leadership role in the integration of Operations, Quality, and Safety.
  • Establish and maintain more uniform methods of manufacturing.
  • Assure compliance with company policies; includes safety, quality, GMP’s, work rules, HACCP, SSOP, human resources.
  • Develop appropriate individuals so that succession plans are available and operational.
  • Interact with new and existing customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • 5+ years food manufacturing experience in a operations leadership role. 
  • MS office suite proficiency, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
