Responsible for managing the plant maintenance and engineering functions including Environmental Management. The person holding this position is responsible to: Coordinate the planning, administration, and execution of the overall Capital Plan. Ensure regulatory compliance of federal, state and local environmental regulations. Manage and coordinate the Plant’s energy usage. Direct the management of the plant maintenance programs including development of, and adherence to, departmental budgets. Supports plant continuous improvement efforts. Managing the plant maintenance group consisting of administrative and hourly employees. Manage the Capital Project System including planning, estimates, cost analysis, budgeting and tracking project costs and implementation timeliness. Assists in the design and cost justification of proposed projects. Provides assistance so projects are completed in a reasonable time frame and at an optimal cost. Budgetary responsibility including capital budget development and cash flow management Provides technical support for the production process Involvement in energy management, conservation and procurement Project Manager of assigned projects including supervisor of the project implementation. Coordinates with outside contractors/consultants as needed. Assures adequate systems, parts and supplies to minimize manufacturing down time. Researches equipment and materials to accomplish the needs for new or revised processes, packaging or products. Plans and executes technical work from planning to implementation of assigned projects. Conduct continuous improvement projects and cost analysis to improve line efficiencies and overall operation. Trouble shoots existing manufacturing/packaging equipment and processes. Stay current on the latest developments in technology Support and drives the plant continuous improvement movement Work with maintenance on understanding our equipment and the training of individuals or running and maintaining our equipment Take the lead in determining equipment needs and examine equipment for purchase Other Duties and responsibilities All other duties as assigned. Food Safety Production Areas • Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required. • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the colorcoded container policy while in the Production Areas. • Perform all duties necessary to meet American Institute of Baking (AIB), Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company. • Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements. • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system. • Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. • Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements. • In the absence of immediate supervisor, will assume necessary operational and administrative duties. |
