Job Description

Come GROW with us!!  Our company keeps growing and we are adding 1 Production Supervisor to our team.  We produce multiple products with multiple high speed, highly automated production lines in our state of the art manufacturing facility.  If you are looking for an international company to grow your career with, we may be what you're looking for.  If you have supervised others in food production or packaging in a fast paced, high speed environment, we want to hear from you.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR


MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

  • Supervises team leaders/team members in high-speed bakery manufacturing environment on 2nd shift (nights).
  • Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. 

KEY TASKS/DUTIES


  • Ensures effective team members relations. 
  • Provides team members coaching and development. 
  • Resolves team members issues through problem resolution. 
  • Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. 
  • Works to continuously improve in all areas. 
  • Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager. 
  • Participates and assists with Quality Control programs to assure product quality. 
  • Ensures adherence to procedures, including GMP requirements and Company Handbook. 
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. 
  • Ensures efficiencies are met or exceeded according to standards in relation to aspects affecting production schedules. 
  • Confers with production manager and other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. 
  • Assists in internal audits to ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and IFS methods, policies and procedures. 

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/LEVELS OF COMPETENCE


  • Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree with a minimum of five years experience in manufacturing supervisory capacity. 
  • Four to five years related (i.e. Bakery or Food Industry) experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Requires operational knowledge of Microsoft applications - EXCEL, WORD, ACCESS, AS400, E-mail, Internet applications
  • SAP exposure is a plus. 
  • Excellent organization skills, prior experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement a plus.
