Position Summary:
 
Primarily responsible for team, customer, market and consumer analytics and insights. Activities include the development of actionable consumer and shopper category insights that apply to assigned Customer(s) and/or markets.  Contribute analysis and insights in the development and building of the tactical elements of the Category Leadership Programs (CLP).  Interface with the Customer at presentations and reviews in support of the team.  Analyze customer scorecards and assist the team in scenario planning by providing category management and industry insights.  Key internal interfaces are primarily with the Customer Teams, (will also include external interface with key contacts within in the customer) Customer Marketing, and Pricing, Category Management, and Selling Strategies organizations.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  
 
  • Support customer modular process by providing key insights by region, complete analysis of marketplace, and execution of modular prototypes as agreed upon with buyer.

  • Develop recommendations with Customer Team(s) and Customer Marketing to provide insights and analysis to help drive consistent sales recommendations on space management (e.g., assortment) and pricing.

  • Responsible for customization, reporting and analysis of category information for assigned Customer(s).

  • Interface with customer in support of consumer and shopper insight application.

  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing confidential category data, and providing customer with objective recommendations for space, assortment and shelving.

  • Develop Customer Category Reviews/Business Reviews with the support of various team members.

  • Advanced proficiency with Retail Link, space management software, syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, Panel, etc.).


 
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • 1-3 years relevant CPG experience to include some combination of: Category Management, Customer/Trade Marketing, and/or Account Management
