My client, a national food manufacturer, is looking to add a talented Maintenance Supervisor/Leader to one of their Arkansas facilities. To be considered for this opportunity one must possess the following experience and skill set.
•Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field is preferred, but would consider someone with a combination of continued education and strong work experience.
•One or more years of maintenance leadership experience and three years of experience in a high speed environment is needed, would prefer food, beverage or CPG experience. This is an entry level leadership role with the organization.
•Proven record of performance and success in a management role.
•Understanding of technology, including complexities of products, machinery and costs. PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems knowledge is required.
•Willingness to work off-shift, as this is where most new leadership members begin their career with the organization.
•Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential for this role.
•Must be a leader that has the ability to motivate a long-term team to the next level.
The Maintenance Supervisor will have responsibility for the planning and execution of daily work activity of the hourly team of approximately 20 mechanics. This role will manage labor, repair parts, outside service budgets and contracts and serve as the technical resource for the department and shift assigned. Responsible for the coaching and development of the Mechanics and promoting a team environment in which teamwork and innovation are used to solve problems. This role will also be involved in a variety of projects and leading continuous improvement efforts at the facility.
