We are currently seeking a Blowmold Technician to be located in our Poland Spring, ME location. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Meet target performance on all blowmolders
-Monitor and adjust bottle processes to optimize bottle quality and correct defects
-Follow contamination prevention and machine cleaning procedures
-Ensure proper setup of blowmold machines
-Use troubleshooting tools to correct downtime issues
-Manage bottle silo level, merge/dump gate setup, and NTS blower speeds
-Routinely communicate with upstream / downstream operators to maximize line performance
-Execute preform and bottle changeovers
-Communicate to PM team regarding machine performance issues
-Become proficient in both Series 1 and Series 2 Sidel blowmolders
-Maintain machine adjustment logs
-Submit work requests for corrective maintenance
-Comply with Globe requirements for parts checkout and labor tracking
-Perform duties of blowmold tech or blowmold forklift driver as needed
-Assist with equipment repairs, PM's, and rebuilds as needed
-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects
-Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements:
Key qualifications include:
'High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications desired
'Prior experience operating blowmold equipment and troubleshooting blowmold components (i.e. t-arm, spindle, blowing valves) required
'Processing experience is required
'Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and the use of business management software (SAP)
'Ability to work independently or with a team
'Solid problem solving and decision making skills
'Comfort working in a high speed production environment
'Ability to move/lift 50 lbs various times over a 12 hour shift, basic math and reading skills
'Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 facility operating through most holidays
'All selected applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment test to assess technical skills and knowledge
'Successful completion of a post offer physical, drug screen and background check are required
