Job Description
<p>This position is responsible for on-the-floor troubleshooting, planned maintenance and project engineering support. The Maintenance Resource removes obstacles, solves problems by coaching others, sets direction and empowers a team of 15+ mechanics to achieve their business and people results. Serve as a technical resource to help achieve manufacturing goals in the areas of safety, quality, production, cost, delivery and motivation of plant personnel.<br /><br />Essential Functions:</p><ul><li>Collaborates with operations to assure equipment systems are capable of delivering at expected true efficiency and quality levels through optimizing existing systems and developing and implementing plant and divisional projects.</li><li>Lead Preventive Maintenance and/ support Autonomous Maintenance and Early Management plans.</li><li>Support the plant capital plan development and assist in annual spending cash flow projections.</li><li>Work closely with the Controller during the business review process to insure accuracy of submitted information. Control the ongoing repair and period maintenance budgets in line with the Annual Operating Plan.</li><li>Supervise maintenance staff ensuring Capital Appropriation Request ( CAR ) Projects, cost studies, and maintenance activities are planned, developed and executed in a timely manner. Projects must be consistent with financial projections, and result in improved True Efficiency, safety, quality and continuous improvement of the facility.</li><li>Ensure corporate policies related to purchasing, bidding, and contracts are followed. Ensure all relevant good manufacturing practices, safety requirements, NEC and OSHA regulations are followed in the design and implementation of all projects.</li><li>Support the Operations Department effecting production line improvement. Through maintenance support and involvement, achieve proposed True Efficiency objectives.</li><li>Manage / support a portion of the HSE / HACCP programs and Lead group training sessions for maintenance crew Effectively schedule maintenance crew and utilize overtime to meet daily needs of operations covering for vacations, flex days, and misc. absences.</li><li>On a regular basis, meet with the Operations Departments to review Production issues with overall goal to maintain a true efficiency index which is in line with the Strategic Long Range Plan objectives.</li><li>Provide a key role in CMP (Cost Management Process) plan development and implementation. Keep abreast of new technologies and provide vision for technical improvement across the plant Provide guidance and support to the development of subordinates and leverage people planning tools.</li></ul><p><br />Qualifications:<br /><br /><br /></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Engineering field (ChemE, EE, ME preferred)</li><li>Ability to lead diverse groups or people with varying education, experience, and backgrounds, as well as, strong interpersonal skills is key.</li><li>3-5 years experience in engineering or reliability maintenance.</li><li>Background in Foods or Consumer Packaging Manufacturing environment preferred.</li><li>Basic understanding/experience in TPM.</li></ul><p>Ideal candidates possess the ability to:<br /><br /><br /></p><ul><li>Work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment</li><li>Ability and willingness to work off shifts and/or weekends is required.</li><li>Fluent with maintenance scheduling software (CIMMS). Experience with 3 phase power systems, PLC controls, general trouble shooting and PM programs.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills with track record of achieving positive business and people results by setting the vision, managing change and coping with multiple priorities.</li><li>Experience with high-speed packaging a plus.</li><li>Must be willing and able to travel 5-10% of the time.</li></ul><p><br /><br /></p><p>Equal Opportunity Employment M/F/D/V</p>
