Distributor Sales Manager ' Food Services Reports to: Divisional Sales Manager Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Heinz North America is seeking a Senior Territory Business Manager ' Food Services to drive sales revenue and top customer experience through the management of key distributor partners and local accounts. You will plan and execute dynamic key account calls, participate in distributor joint calls and, equally important, you will develop face-to-face relationships with operators throughout your territory as you introduce market innovations to penetrate emerging accounts. In this role, you will represent the Escalon brand of tomato products as well as engage the on-premise consumer market.
The Senior Territory Business Manager will participate in the strategic and business planning process for the territory encompassing Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and Baltimore (Incumbent must live in metro Pittsburgh). You will develop and accomplish strategies for market growth and effective distributor partnerships along with penetrating key operator accounts. In addition, the incumbent in the role will enable broad management of tomato products through effective reporting and analysis of their assigned business and through the implementation of new products and market penetration opportunities.
Over-night travel of approximately 6-8 days per month is required.
Who will be successful in this role?
- We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business or other applicable experience as well as a minimum of five years of prior consumer goods sales AND culinary/restaurant exposure. - An individual with a strong passion for top consumer experience for an iconic branded firm and a strong focus on results, collaboration and continuous improvement
- A business focused contributor with strong analytical and presentation skills evidenced by the ability to create and utilize Excel spreadsheets to determine data trends, conduct business planning and identify market penetration opportunities.
- The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to write and prepare account presentations in PowerPoint as well as write business reviews.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish or English/Italian) skills, although not required, could facilitate penetration of developing ethnic markets.
