The primary purpose of this position is to secure adequate supplies of production inputs, production equipment and supplies, sales displays, office equipment and supplies, and related materials, in a proficient and professional manner. The Senior Buyer assists in educating other buyers and is often required to handle the more difficult and/or strategic suppliers for Jack Link Beef Jerky products. The Senior Buyer may be required to handle difficult negotiations and to cover responsibilities of Director of Corporate Purchasing when the Director is away from the office.
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years direct experience in purchasing field
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrable effective negotiation techniques.
- Working understanding of production scheduling and supply chain mgt.
- Basic understanding of UCC and Purchasing Law

- Understanding of MRP/MRPII and/or SAP manufacturing environments
