Position Summary:

The Area HR Manager will be part of the leadership team for a defined geographical area (Dallas, Waco, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio) containing seven (7) facilities with approximately 285 employees (160 route delivery, 40 sales, 20 warehouse, 40 manufacturing, 25 administrative and leadership). Position is based in Dallas, TX or Houston, TX and requires frequent visits to all facilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

' Providing active HR leadership and support for critical business initiatives

' Successfully developing and executing proactive positive work environment strategies

' Managing frontline roundtable feedback process and other forms of upward feedback

' Partnering with business leaders to plan and implement leadership development strategies

' Guiding leaders through complex employee relations issues

' Supporting frontline and leadership staffing initiatives

' Coaching leaders on 360° feedback interpretation and follow-up

' Administering internal appeals procedure

' Ensuring compliance with all applicable labor and employment laws; handling OFCCP audits or other inquiries from regulatory agencies as needed

' Delivering training programs that meet location needs (Targeted Selection, Leadership Development, Harassment,etc.).

' Working with managers to ensure organizational structure and design to optimize business objectives.

' Understanding related legislation (EEO, ADA, Family Medical Leave, Employment Law, etc.)

Requirements:

Successful candidates should possess:

' Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus. HR focus preferred, but not required.

' 3-7 yrs. HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing, operations, sales, service, retail, or CPG industries; preferably in a large matrix organization

' Willingness to work variable hours (mix of early mornings, late evenings)

' Willingness to travel
