Job Description

Please note that this is a home based position based in Willowbrook, IL.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical business plans to maintain and grow sales, requiring support across McCormick business groups and may include international business units.
  • Independently implement and develop measures for success against business plan and report progress to customer and McCormick management.
  • Facilitate a high level of communication and business to business relationships across functions.
  • Establish in-depth working relationships at all levels within Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical, Operations, and vendors to manage activities, including service failure, issue resolution, and commercialization.
  • Conduct presentations to client, including market trends, concepts, and prototypes.
  • With Sales management involvement, develops customer pricing strategy to maximize business and profits.
  • Serve as a critical contact for McCormick and drive customer penetration through innovation and proactive customer intimacy.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Business related field required.
  • 15 years sales experience handling complex multi-national food and/or beverage accounts required.
  • Critical thinking skills and proven business acumen required.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically required.
  • Negotiation skills required.
  • High level innovation skills are required. 
  • High level interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating internal functional support roles required.
  • Proven experience in providing project leadership for custom developed solutions to the food and beverage industry required.
  • Proven experience developing value-added internal and external business relationships required.
  • Poultry processing experience and large account experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required, SAP experience preferred. 
  • This position requires 10-25% travel.
