Heinz North America is searching for an exceptional Plant Controller to support our Fort Myers, FL facility.
What is the role?
As the lead financial member of this team, your superior analytical and leadership capabilities will be fully utilized and valued. Overseeing all financial operations of the facility, your personal experience and expertise is clearly distinguishable. You will utilize your prior exposure to cost reduction process optimization and your advanced skills in economic analysis to coordinate the identification and implementation of cost reduction and quality improvement processes and projects within the Factory.
In this role you will guide your staff in the preparation and monitoring of department and factory budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensure the accuracy of financial standards and bills of materials for all Ft. Myers-produced work-in-process and finished goods items, and ensure that classification of all financial data is correct to maintain integrity and accuracy.
You will successfully manage capital funds and analyze all capital projects to ensure budget adherence. In addition you will maintain factory compliance to all appropriate company financial policies and procedures, safeguarding company assets and ensuring all appropriate company policies are followed. Through practicing the principles of TQM and by training, recognizing and encouraging employees to do the same, you will support Heinz's commitment to quality.
Who would be successful?
We are looking for a degreed professional (Bachelors is a must; CPA/CMA/MBA is preferred) with at least three (3) years experience in an assistant plant controller role and at least two (2) years prior supervisory experience. The ideal individual presents a track record demonstrating exceptional problem solving and decision making skills as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
In this leadership role, the incumbent must possess the ability to work closely with the Factory Manager and his staff in a team environment, creating a positive, productive work atmosphere in the factory office through effective communication, cross-training, and individualized development of personnel. You and your immediate team will work collectively toward the achievement of department and plant goals through proper coaching, counseling and recognition.
