Qualifications:
* BS/MS Food, Bakery, or Cereal Science
* 3-7 years' experience in fresh or frozen baked goods
* Strong bakery product development/formulation experience
* Good communication and computer skills
* Self-starter, creative, innovative
* Sensory science technique or design of experiments understanding a plus
Duties:
* Self-initiated interfacing with the research and marketing teams to identify product trends evaluate project feasibility, identify appropriate formulations, develop prototypes, provide on-site plant commercialization, and prepare all technical documentation
* Development and implementation of new products both from customer and marketing requests
* Work with manufacturing, purchasing and quality assurance to launch new products, evaluate alternate ingredient suppliers, maintain appropriate records of work, pilot plant trials, shelf life studies, prepare prototypes for concept and consumer tests, assist with commercialization of the products in the factory
* Work with Sales and Marketing to provide a level of technical services to the customers
* Extensive understanding of existing production capabilities across sites
* Perceived as technical expert to outside customers
* Lead and train junior technologists
* Initiate and participate in new concept development programs
