Processing Supervisor (weekend night shift Fri, Sat, Sun 7pm to 7am)
Oversee and coordinate all production process including the control room and rework area. This position has supervisory responsibilities over the aforementioned teams. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Processing:
1. Determine production needs based on schedule to ensure operational effectiveness while adhering to cost structures.
2. Develop manpower planning and utilization programs to satisfy actual and projected requirements.
3. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines. Study roasting and grinding variances and implement plans for improvements.
4. Work closely with planning and green bean receiving to ensure productive operations. Establish or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
5. Identify, implement and follow up on measures to improve processing methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
6. Suggest and implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase annual fiscal year budgeted efficiency and safety of operation.
7. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
8. Communicate shift performance and address issues including but not limited to safety, quality adherence, equipment efficiency, schedule adherence, operator performance and material usage.
9. Assure good housekeeping, equipment cleanliness and safe work environment.
Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance and Project Management:
1. Analyze inefficiencies, recommend, plan and implement equipment needs to achieve cost reduction, and improve product quality and processes.
2. Assist with preventative maintenance program in the processing area to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition.
3. Support production supervisor and maintenance mechanics in training operators on processing related aspects of equipment.
4. Maintain company property to regulatory standards, (state, local, safety, and GMPs).
5. Ensure GMP and safety policies are followed by direct reports and contractors.
