Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

To support the customer with pertinent data, analysis and insights covering all facets of account support, sales, merchandising, marketing and planning information. Also provides support in organizing data and improving processes in all departments to facilitate the department mission of furthering fact-based decision making throughout the company.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Compile, organize and distribute corporate data on a weekly, period or as needed basis
  • Collect and organize data to report on advertising, marketing and merchandising programs
  • Effectively analyze various reports in order to obtain pertinent and accurate information
  • Understand data sources and measures
  • Interact with category managers to determine how to serve them better
  • Interact with principals to determine their objectives and needs
  • Work across departments/cross functionally
  • Stay current on Daymon issues and the business in general
  • Facilitate and take part in knowledge sharing processes with Daymon associates throughout the organization
  • Think and act strategically as well as tactically in the performance of the job
  • Participate in developing annual category business plans and category performance initiatives
  • Assist in monitoring/tracking of decisions, compliance and performance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to compile and analyze data
  • Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail required 

Minimum Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in the grocery or consumer packaged goods industry preferred
  • Experience with syndicated data preferred
