Job Description
Associate Business Development Managers work closely with Daymon Business Development Managers, Retail Customer and Supplier Partners on a variety of marketing and sales issues. The focus of this work is to support our Private Label program and maximize our customer's and supplier's private label sales by understanding their objectives, resolving any daily issues or problems that arise, and building relationships with them. Maximize penetration and profits from private label products in assigned categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support or manage an area of responsibility (Category[s] and/or Supplier Partners) interfacing with Retailer to achieve mutual objectives within a pre-determined budget.
- Grow sales and achieve Private Label penetration goals
- Develop innovative solutions that support category and brand development
- Coordinate and participate in Retailer and Supplier Partner meetings
- Prepare category reviews to include industry and trend analyses and actionable recommendations
- Participate in product development initiatives including sourcing suppliers, plant tours, product cuttings, planogram development, new item sales projection and product launch support
- Utilize data tools and create presentations to support effective decision making
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with Retailers and Suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
- 1 – 2 Years of related experience strongly preferred
- Prior proven experience with priority setting and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and manage complex business relationships
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
