Job Description
The Associate Marketing Manager will support the creation and manage the execution of the marketing plans for the Customer's Private Brands program. The primary functions include supporting the development of the Private Brand Marketing Plans, coordinating the execution of marketing tactics across the Customer's enterprise and with 3rd party vendors, managing budgets, and tracking program performance against objectives.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and Advertising departments to incorporate Private brands into planning, budgeting, promotional and advertising activities.
- Work with brand and marketing managers in development of Private Brands annual marketing plans.
- Manage creative development process by developing creative briefs, timelines, and approving creative execution to ensure consistency with brand standards.
- Work closely with the Private Brand team to understand and contribute to its overall business strategy, leverage those insights into marketing plans.
- Manage execution of assigned Our Own Brand Marketing programs & projects
- Development of project timelines & creative briefs
- Manage relationships and coordinate execution with 3rd party suppliers
- Work with analytics to measure and track programs to ensure outlined program objectives are met.
- Manage marketing budgets for assigned projects; secure estimates, approvals and track expenses against budget – provide updates to brand and marketing managers.
- Develop a solid understanding of competitive and Best- in- Class Private Brand’s strategies and offerings; use these insights to inform our strategy and ensure differentiation and market leadership. Work with R&D to drive innovation, and work with Consumer Insights to prioritize product differentiation and meaningful consumer attributes.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree (Preferably in Marketing discipline)
- 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience in either an agency (advertising or promotion marketing), CPG company, or design (or comparable) agency.
- Understanding of the 4Ps and ability to develop marketing strategies.
- Relevant retail marketing or Private Brand experience.
- Passion for Retail.
