Responsible for identifying and qualifying game-changing innovation platforms for product, package, and business process.
Strategy: Develops and recommends strategies for driving significant growth behind large innovation platforms. Gains executive support for strategies and drives broad multi-functional alignment. Supports Director in developing and gaining alignment to brand and business development strategies. Influences SBU business strategies with goal of maximizing ROI.
Planning: Develops process for identifying, qualifying, and prioritizing innovations. Ensures Brands are aligned with future innovations and are prepared to commercialize. Recommends budgets.
Execution: Identifies pipeline of insight-driven product and package innovation. Partners with R&D, Consumer Insights, Finance, Operations, Brand, Sales, and other stakeholders to qualify innovations. Manages handoff to Commercialization Core Teams. Works within previously agreed budget. Partners with Business Processes manager to develop and recommend process innovations.
Process Improvement: Identifies, manages, and recommends process improvements to create efficiencies, build organizational capacity, and enable greater speed to market. Actively seeks and manages opportunities to reduce waste. Supports corporate sustainability initiatives.
Budget Management: Lead budget development and management within area of responsibility to deliver financial targets.
People Development: Coach and develop the next generation of marketing leadership for Wells¿ Enterprises, levering both formal and informal training and development to improve both designated competencies and function-specific skills of Core Team and Center of Excellence team members. Supports Director in recruitment. Has the ability to lead assessment of subordinates.
Organizational Capability: Build a strong, effective, high performance cross-functional support team through influencing, motivating, coaching and developing team members to perform to their maximum potential as a team. Strengthen the quality of the team by supporting talent management, succession planning, and recruiting of strong talent that builds organizational capability and fits the culture.
Develops and investigates hypotheses that lead to substantive improvements in current strategies and plans. Routinely conducts business performance, consumer insight and ad hoc research to identify actionable insights that lead to improved performance. Takes step of independently evaluating alternatives and gaining support of courses of action that capitalize on new insights and implications. Excellent understanding of Corporate P&L and financial levers in order to contribute to building sustainable competitive advantage and consumer preference for WEI¿s portfolio of products.
BA/BS in Business or related field, MBA preferred.
7-9 years of Marketing/Sales CPG experience
