AEP Colloids was started in 1966 as an import agent for food ingredients. The founder, Mr. A. E. Pellet, sold the company to the present management in 1984. In subsequent years, AEP acquired Floralac Company and Perny, Inc., both distributors of food ingredients. Over the past several years, we have continued to strengthen our relationships with our overseas suppliers, and at the same time expanded our product line and supplier base.
Our worldwide supply sources provide us with the highest quality hydrocolloids, such as: Locust bean, guar, karaya, agar and carrageenan, as well as vitamins and other nutritional products.
Our Quality Control and Research and Development Laboratory, located in New York state, has assisted many customers in their efforts to use our products in the most effective manner for their application needs. We pride ourselves on fast turn-around time on testing of both customer samples and supplier submissions.
AEP's sales and administrative staff in New York handles nationwide and global import and distribution activities.
R & D work is done both in our U.S. Lab and in the U.K.
