- Straus Family Creamery is a small family-owned organic dairy and creamery located in the beautiful, pristine shores of Tomales Bay… a scenic and beautiful 20-25 minute commute from Novato or Petaluma. SFC has had its roots in the dairy farm industry since 1941. William Straus started the family run dairy with 23 cows that were named after his friends and relatives. In 1994, his son, Albert Straus, opened Straus Family Creamery in order to keep the family farm in agriculture and continue to protect the land through sustainable farming practices.
