The Department was founded in 1969 with a mission that is embedded in the mission of our School and University.
Currently, we have two program areas: animal science and food science and technology. The BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees are offered in the food science program and the BS degree in animal science. The food science program is an Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) certified program.
