The brewery was founded in September 1993 by Eric Wallace & Dick Doore with the thought that U.S. consumers were ready for beers brewed with great flavor, character and overall balance.
We see our beers as a wonderful liquid food to complement meals and social occasions, thus making an emotional connection with each one of our consumers, becoming very much a part of your Individual Style.
We strive for the perfect balance & harmony between malt and hops in every beer - from our lightest beers to our darkest beers - allowing our consumers a unique flavor experience in every glass.
Eleven years and counting, Left Hand continues with the philosophy of brewing a well-balanced portfolio of beers for the discriminating consumer.
The name Left Hand is derived from a famous Southern Arapaho Indian tribe chief known as "Niwot", the Arapaho word for left hand.
The Southern Arapaho tribe wintered in the Boulder Valley area of Colorado.
There is now a creek, a canyon, a mountain and an award winning brewery named in honor of Chief Left Hand.
