It's not just a Fruit Stand anymore...
But, it's still a family business, and as such, we put a lot of love into what we do. That's the Mixon difference.
In 1939 Rosa and Willie Mixon bought a 20 acre grove located in lush Manatee River country.
Willie had worked in groves in the area for years and knew the citrus fruit grown here was outstanding.
Once folks tasted the fresh juicy oranges and sweet mild grapefruit, they came back year after year. When they started requesting fruit to be sent up North, our mail order business was born.
The friendly "Mom & Pop" 20 acre roadside fruit stand has grown to over 350 acres of lush well managed groves, retail store, processing plant and over 120 employees.
Through the years Willie & Rosa's son Bill & grandsons Dean & Don have carried on the tradition of growing and selling Florida's Finest Citrus.
