Music Mountain Water Company's roots extend back to the year 1919. In those days, it was called "Electrified Water Company" because the purification process utilized electricity, a major innovation. At this time, the City of Shreveport used the Red River as the source for its drinking water, and poor purification techniques and bad taste of the treated river water fueled the early growth of Electrified Water. Pictured at the right is one of the first bulk tankers used in the region to deliver good-tasting, pure water to homes, offices, restaurants, and hotels. After changing owners several times over the years, the company now known as Music Mountain Water was purchased by the Wren family in 1980. The name of the company was changed because the primary source of the bottled water was now the rolling hills of Arkansas, and the original spring was on Music Mountain.
Today, the water is transported from a secluded spring surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest in 6,500 gallon tankers to our modern, state-of-the-art bottling facility in Shreveport. Music Mountain has grown tremendously over the last twenty years because of an iron-clad commitment to maintaining the highest quality of both our products and our service. In addition to our main Shreveport location, we have branches in Longview, Alto, Texarkana, El Dorado, Alexandria, Lake Charles, and Monroe, and several distributors.
