Wampler offers a complete line of quality chicken and turkey products that are available to today's consumers.
The company began in 1927 as Wampler Feed and Seed Company. Founder Charles Wampler, Sr. served for the next 50 years, first as President and later as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is widely recognized as "the father of the modern turkey industry" because of his idea to artificially incubate turkey eggs.
Over the years, the company has consolidated other companies of established success and leadership in the poultry industry. These included Wampler Foods Inc. in 1969; Horace W. Longacre, Inc. in 1984; Rockingham Poultry Marketing Cooperative, Inc. in 1988; Golden Acres, Inc. in 1990; Round Hill Foods, Inc. in 1992; Cuddy Farms - USA Food Division in 1994; and New Hope Feeds, Inc. in 1995.
