In 1950 Jacob and Elsie Starkel began a hobby of raising turkeys. As years went by and children grew, their hobby turned into a business, which began exclusive processing of stewing chickens in 1960.
Though Jacob passed away in 2002, Elsie continues to be active in the business. Their daughters, Leona and Susan, manage and oversee operations. Meanwhile, the third generation is training for their future positions in the business.
