Swiss Heritage Cheese Factory was originally established as Monticello Northside Swiss Cheese Co-op in the 1930's. Swiss Heritage specializes in Brick, Muenster, Marble Muenster, and Farmer cheese.
Swiss Heritage Cheese Factory was originally established as Monticello Northside Swiss Cheese Co-op in the 1930's. First cheesemaker Emil Escher (pictured on this brochure cover) and his sons made up to 14 wheels of Swiss cheese each day in what was considered to be a state-of-the-art facility. Today you may find the mother of the current cheesemaker selling cheese in the recently renovated retail store. Swiss Heritage specializes in Brick, Muenster, Marble Muenster, and Farmer cheese. Take home a bag of their frozen Muenster curds, hand-dipped in batter created from a secret family recipe. Deep fry and enjoy!
