- The Coronado Brewing Company, Coronado's Premier MicroBrewery opened its doors to the public in August of 1996. It was founded by Coronado residents Rick & Ron Chapman. The entrepreneurs purchased an old restaurant site on the historic Orange Avenue and proceeded to create a landmark brew pub, the Coronado Brewing Company. The restaurant became an instant success with is beautiful d?cor, pristine brewhouse, and friendly atmosphere. CBC began its commercial beer distribution in July of 1997. The world famous Hotel Del Coronado, a popular destination of presidents and celebrities, became our first client and now serves CBC's finest pilsner-style Coronado Golden. To meet the increasing commercial demand for the best micro brewed beers in San Diego, CBC acquired the refurbished Mission Brewery facility in the Mission Brewery Plaza off the interstate 5 freeway. The Mission Brewery, a landmark dating back to the early 1900's, is now capable of producing 800 kegs of beer per month. Restaurateurs and Customers alike understand that one of the largest benefits to having a locally brewed beer is knowing that it's always the freshest. With CBC, you will find nothing but the finest ales served within days of creation.
