County Distributing Co. is an Anheuser Busch distributor located in Sedalia.
During this time the operation survived such events as prohibition, three major wars, and the Great Depression.
September 22, Robert C. Beykirch purchased Sedalia's Anheuser-Busch operation and formed County Distributing Company, Inc. Original operation consisted of two trucks, two drivers and Bob Beykirch. Projected sales for that year were 60,000 cases. County's first location was a 1,500 square foot warehouse located at 619 East 5th. Our beer was received by railcar and was hand unloaded. Anheuser-Busch market share was 10%. Budweiser was the only package beer served in returnable bottles, non-returnable bottles, 16-ounce cans, quart bottles, and the double case (eight 6-pack cans). Michelob and Budweiser were our draught beers. 1960 County built and moved into a new location at 1111 East 3rd Street. This was a three-truck operation with a 4,800 square foot warehouse and small draught cooler. Chouteau Water currently operates from the building. 1974 County moved into a new location at 2205 West Main. It became a five-truck operation doing approximately 300,000 stat cases. 1980 County built and moved to the warehouse facility located at 3205 West Main. This was a six-truck operation and the warehouse had approximately 12,000 square feet. 1983 County expanded the facility to 20,000 square feet, which included additional cooler and
