Gulf Distributing Company was founded in 1974 by our Chairman Emeritus, Ms. Freida G. Maisel. While no longer active in the day to day operations of our company, Ms. Maisel is a valuable asset to our company. She maintains an office in the Mobile facility. She purchased the assets of the Jax Distributing Company which was formed in 1935. Essentially, our Mobile company has been doing business since the founding of Jax Distributing Company and represents the products of the Miller Brewing Company, the Adolph Coors Brewing Company, Heineken U.S.A., Guinness, Pabst Brewing, Barton Beers, Gambrinus, Seagram Beverage Co., Kirin Beers, Molson Breweries, Paulaner N.A., and Mike’s Hard Lemonade, among others. Additionally, Gulf distributes wines and non-alcoholic products including the brands of Robert Mondavi, Berringer, Constellation Wines, Far Niente, Stags Leap, Austin Nichols, Pacific Wine Group, and many other fine wineries.
