Triple Rock Brewery & Alehouse is America's Oldest Original Brewpub.
Triple Rock Brewery & Alehouse is housed in a classic early 20th-century yellow brick building in Downtown Berkeley. Before John and Reid Martin took it over, it was a glass shop and real estate office, so it took quite a bit of work to transform into a brewery, pub and restaurant. It was quite a mess. "I don't think the glass company threw anything out in the 40 years they were there," remarked John. After the repairs and refurbishments were made, the Martin brothers received an award for "Outstanding Restoration and Renovation" from the distinguished Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association.
