Valiant Vineyards Winery produces a variety of grape and fruit wines under the Valiant Vineyards and Turkey Ridge Creek brands.
Valiant Vineyards Winery began over a decade ago when Eldon and Sherry Nygaard set out to establish the first winery in South Dakota. In 1993, they planted a small vineyard on land over-looking Turkey Ridge Creek in Turner County, South Dakota. Pioneer settlers who homesteaded the land in the 1880s named the creek. Eldon's ancestors had farmed the land for more than a century. The bold heritage and pioneering spirit of those early Americans is again found in the wines bottled by Valiant Vineyards.
