The J. R. Simplot Company is a privately held food and agribusiness corporation based in Boise, Idaho. We employ approximately 10,000 people in the U.S., Canada, China, Mexico, and Australia.

Annual sales are about $3 billion, derived principally from food, fertilizer, turf and horticultural, cattle feeding, and other enterprises related to agribusiness.

Simplot is one of the world's largest frozen-potato processors, annually turning out 3 billion pounds of french fries and other potato products worldwide.

The firm also is one of the nation's largest beef-cattle producers, and ranks as a major agricultural-fertilizer manufacturer, with markets in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

The company is named for founder J.R. Simplot, who now serves as Chairman Emeritus.

Simplot Australia--www.simplot.com.au Although the Simplot name is new to Australia, our brands, people and plants have a long history there. As one of the nation's top 10 food and beverage companies, Simplot Australia manufactures and sells frozen, canned and baked products through an extensive network of major supermarkets, convenience stores and food service outlets.

Simplot Canadian Potato Plant--more information Simplot owns and operates one of the world's most modern potato processing plants at Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, in Canada. The facility, which started production runs shortly after completion of construction in 2003, serves foodservice customers on the East Coast and in the Midwest and Southeast.

Simplot China--www.simplot.com.cn Simplot remains the only multi-national potato processor, with international standard processing facilities in China. Beijing Simplot Food Processing Co. Ltd., is a joint venture facility, located in Nanyuan, just outside of Beijing, Simplot China Inc. maintains a representative office in Beijing to service the growing needs of customers in the region. Simplot International Trading services customers throughout China representing Simplot food products produced in Simplot facilities around the world. Our China operations also include turf seed sales and consulting through our subsidiary Jacklin Seed.

Simplot Europe--www.simplot.nl Simplot Europe offers a select line of our foodservice products, including appetizers, potato products, avocado products and Cornados, the world's first stone-ground corn stix. Recently, Simplot Europe successfully launched a new line of retail food products in leading grocery stores throughout the continent.

Simplot Korea--www.simplot-korea.co.kr Simplot Korea specializes in bringing "Western" products and menus to the Korean Foodservice industry. Simplot Korea works with customers to develop Western menus pleasing to Korean tastes.
