Sorbee International Limited is a cutting edge enterprise that manufactures ,imports, distributes and sells products worldwide under the brand names Sorbee, Global Brands and DreamCandy.
Sorbee International Limited’s history is part of a long heritage of entrepreneurial ventures which began in 1929. Most of these businesses were in the medical and pharmaceutical industry. The Sorbee brand had its beginning stemmed from the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturing lollypops that were given to children by doctors after their dental visit. It was in the late 70’s that Elliot Stone began manufacturing sugar-free lollypops under the Sorbee brand. Elliot and his father, Dr. Harold G. Stone operated a pharmaceutical manufacturing business and specialized in marketing Ethical Dental Pharmaceuticals and Public Health products, which they supplied to dentists, doctors, pediatricians, hospitals and clinics. The sugarless lollypop was researched, developed and manufactured. Within a short time, samples were produced and interest was created in the product. With a huge customer base already well established, Elliot began shipping his new sugarless lollypops to dentist offices nationwide. The sugarless lollypop seemed to catch on quickly, and it became a big hit with the kids, and especially their moms.
