Kaliti Food Share Company is a producer of various wheat-based products, and is one of Ethiopia¹s premier food processors. It operates one of the largest food processing sites in Ethiopia, located on the outskirts of Addis Ababa. TheCompany¹s primary brand, Cerealia, has been a household brand name throughout Ethiopia for over 75 years. Established in 1938 by an Italian entrepreneur, the Company was later acquired in 1952 by Emperor Haile Sellasie and then nationalized in 1981. In 2010 the Company was acquired in a privatization bid by Romel General Trading PLC. Its product lines include flour, bread, biscuits, and pasta (macaroni and spaghetti). With seven independent production lines, the Company has the largest combined installed production capacity in the industrial sub-sector. The company's vision is to build the largest food processing and distribution enterprise in East Africa and to be recognized for delivering the highest standards in quality, innovation, service and social responsibility. Since privatization, the Company has implemented major human resources improvements while at the same time increasing diversification of sales, production capacity and efficiency, and revenue.
